Grab your gear and let’s go!
We’re beyond stoked to announce we are opening this Sunday the 21st of December for full mountain operations! Accommodations will be open for check in on Saturday the 20th in the afternoon. The Cain Café will be open Sunday but with a limited menu. The snow has arrived and we can’t wait to welcome you with snowy smiles! The unofficial patrol snow reel doesn’t lie.
Before setting your plans in place, a couple of operational points, we’ve gone from gravel to almost a meter of snow in 48 hours and there’s more on the way, which means there’s a lot to happen between now and opening the lifts on Sunday morning. We ask you please wait until Saturday afternoon to make your way to the hill. The road will be being cleared Saturday morning and we need to give the grader time and space to complete the work safely. Also please remember while the mountain is closed the ski area is off limits. Grooming, lifts and patrol will be preparing the hill for opening from now until Sunday morning and it extremely hazardous to have unauthorised people accessing the hill. So please be patient, it’ll pay off on Sunday, I can assure you. Don’t risk being asked to leave the hill before the lifts start spinning!
We’re opening the full mountain from Sunday 21st to Tuesday 23rd for three days of pre Christmas pow! We close on Tuesday at 3:30pm and accommodations must be checked out at 11am on the Tuesday. We are back open after Christmas on Saturday 27th. Accommodations will be open for check in on the Saturday, not the Friday as usual, so enjoy Boxing day at home or skiing with our friends at Mount Washington! Check our calendar
Now get that cold wax on your tele skis and make your way here for Sunday at 9:15am, lets dance!
