The last Saturday of full mountain operations for season 25/26 is upon us! We’re open this Saturday for our final day full mountain and closed Sunday for staff appreciation and shutdown. So this is your last chance to slash some spring slush after riding a T-bar!

12 Hours of Pain wrapped up our events this past weekend with some extraordinary feats of endurance on display in support of Ski Patrol. The solo field was stacked this year with a solid turnout of familiar faces and a few making their first appearance. Dany from out East redefined what we thought was possible for one person and won the whole event with 31 laps, James (last year’s winner and island local) was hot on his heels with second place overall and 27 laps, a monumental effort! There were achievements all across the board and we’re beyond stoked for a successful second year running. Wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our Awesome sponsors, Campbell River SAR (Amelia and Simone for holding sprits high at the top!), Ski Tak Hut, Valhalla Pure Outfitters, VIBE Backcountry Education, SOS Gear, Black Diamond, Arc’teryx, Kindred, Rusted Rake Brewing, Devils Bath Brewing, Cumberland Brewing Co and Athletic Brewing! Also massive shout out to all the volunteers and the main man behind all our events Darren, a true Cain Star 🌟

Couple of quick notes, our lost and found corner is full and this is the last weekend to come reclaim your gear! Drop accommodations@mountcain.com a note if you can’t make it and realise you’ve left something. Our Café tender application deadline is also looming, so if you’re considering it get your application in, April 30 is the cut off.

Current conditions have us with 150cms on the ridge at the top of Blueberry, freeze thaw conditions and the temperature hovering around 5°C. The road is dry and clear all the way to the parking lot. Looking forward to seeing you all for one last T 🤗
