January 10, 2024

Mount Cain will OPEN this weekend.

This last storm system and colder temperatures have given us JUST enough snow to open for the January 13/14, 2024, weekend. Woohoo!  For this weekend – The Upper lift should be ready to open by early afternoon Saturday, there will be only a few runs on the lower mountain available. We will not be open on Monday, January 15.

Please remember, we are opening with marginal, early-season conditions, with minimal groomed runs, and next to NO beginner terrain open.  Be prepared for winter road conditions on the highways and Cain Road. Carry and know how to use chains.  Check out the Getting Here Page for other details.

This next part is for our season pass holders – did you know that your season pass is a “loadable card”?! That means you can pop into the ticket booth, ski shop or tavern to add real money onto your ski pass and then put your wallet away safely for the weekend.   Families, what a great way to help your kids get a snack when Dad needs to do one more run. There are no fees for this service, and it can be used anywhere on the hill.   Cool right?   Load your Season Pass when you arrive!

This decision is late, so I am sure you are runnin’ runnin’ to get your bags packed and your gear tuned up. Woohoo! Below, is a song to pack to.

PS – Cain is always in need of truck space to send tin/glass recycling off hill.  If you have space in your vehicle at the end of your weekend, please find Campbell, Jean Luc, or the Director on Duty and help us be responsible recyclers.
