The September sun was out at Cain this passed weekend and so were the hard working volunteers! Can’t thank all those who came out for making the time and putting in the effort, the hill and the community loves you!
Many jobs were completed and all sorts of tasks carried out! Of course the list is never ending and there are a few key things on going. Mainly brush cutting, so if you have a brush saw and want to spend a day or two swinging it, reachout and we’ll put you intouch with the crew.
As the sun started to dip, the lodge lit up and the Annual General Meeting was held for 2026. With most of the board of directors in attendance and a healthy number of members. Reports were given, numbers were analysed and votes were cast.
We have four new or returning faces to the board of directors, welcome Dean Davidson (Lift Ops), Adam Langdon Weir (Buildings), Tyson Craig (Roads) and Dugald Thompson (Communications).
There is still a Directorship vacant and it is one of our key roles, so we’d love to have it filled prior to the snow flying. The Hospitality/Accommodations director is waiting for you or someone you know to take on the task. Please reach out here or info@mountcain.com
With the new directorships filled, the directors that are taking a well deserved break from mountain operations, we thank you for your years of service and dedicated volunteership, without you Cain wouldn’t be where it is today! Cheers, Dean Hunchuk, Mike Green and Drew Nagainis!
The AGM minutes will be up on the website after out next board meeting when they’re approved, for the full run down and play by play. For now we wait to see what winter will bring us!
