Spring break turned into one to be remembered, after a great Kids Fest the snow returned and continued to fall all the way until Snowshoe Baseball which was played to Friday afternoon. The rivalry was so hot the base lines turned to water and the game came down to a final innings hit out, The Majestic Orcas managed to tail slap a final home run for an 8-7 win in an extra innings and have retained the trophy 🏆Photos from Coast & Kin here.
The swell from Baseball on the lake lead into the Big Wave Banked Slalom being ridden on Saturday, with the sun out and faces smiling! The course was expertly put together by a team of dedicated volunteers and it didn’t disappoint. Awesome prizes from Ski Tak Hut and Salmon Arms Gloves were won, among other donations and $1035 was raised for the Port McNeill Skate Park! Many thanks to all that came out and supported the gathering 🙏A spectacular photo album by Alanda at Coast and Kin Photography can be found here.
While on the topic of photos an album of Kids Fest photos can also be found here from Coast and Kin. If you’d like high resolution copies of any photos of your child please reach out to Alanda and she can share them. There’s some great shots in there and we can’t thank Alanda enough for her work!

We’re open full mountain Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday for Easter and this is our last full weekend of operation, with April 11th being the last day of public operations, the 12th being staff appreciation and pack down. Currently it’s just above freezing with 95cms on the lower half of the mountain. There’s still patches of snow on the road, so don’t leave those chains behind just yet!
